V60 02 is the standard that specialty coffee settled on for a reason: the spiral ridges create uniform airflow and the 60° cone angle gives you control over extraction rate that flat-bottom filters don't. The rinse instruction is not optional — unrinsed filter paper has a detectable taste that sits underneath the coffee and flattens the cup. A filter that needs rinsing is working correctly. One that doesn't is paper that isn't doing its job.

Rinse before use to remove paper taste. Discard after one use. Replace when stock depletes.
