01 · Our Commitment
Rye Apothecary is committed to making its website accessible to everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
02 · Current Status
We believe the current version of this website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We are a new brand and are actively working to identify and address accessibility gaps as we build.
Known issues we are working on:
- Some product images may not have complete alternative text descriptions
- Some colour contrast ratios are being reviewed against WCAG AA standards
- PDF documents (if applicable) may not be fully accessible — we are working to provide HTML alternatives
03 · What We Have Done
- Semantic HTML throughout the website for screen reader compatibility
- All interactive elements are keyboard-accessible
- Form fields are labelled clearly
- We do not use content that flashes more than three times per second
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
