01 · Your Statutory Rights
If you are a UK consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (the cooling-off period). You do not need to give a reason.
These rights are in addition to your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if goods are faulty or not as described.
02 · How to Request a Return
Email us at orders@ryeapothecary.com with:
- Your order number
- Which items you are returning
- Whether you would like a refund or exchange
We will confirm the return address within 1 business day.
03 · Condition of Returned Goods
Goods must be returned unused, with original packaging intact. The tin and any labelling are part of the product — please return them in the condition you received them.
We reserve the right to reduce your refund if goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them, or if packaging has been damaged.
04 · Items That Cannot Be Returned
We cannot accept returns on:
- Goods that have been used — consumable items (including matcha whisks where the prongs have been put into use) cannot be returned once used
- Sealed goods unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed
05 · Return Shipping
Return postage is your responsibility for change-of-mind returns. We recommend using a tracked service — we cannot accept responsibility for items lost in return transit.
If we sent you a faulty or incorrect item, we will cover the return postage cost.
06 · Refund Processing
Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving your returned goods, or within 14 days of you providing evidence that goods have been sent, whichever is earlier.
Refunds are made via your original Stripe payment method. Your bank may take additional time to show the credit — this is outside our control.
Refunds include the standard delivery cost of your original order. We do not refund express delivery upgrades for change-of-mind returns.
07 · Faulty or Incorrect Orders
If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or not as described, email orders@ryeapothecary.com within 30 days of delivery with:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Photographs where relevant
We will offer a full replacement or refund, including return postage at our cost.
